Atomic Bomb Socratic Seminar
Today we conducted a Socratic Seminar. If you missed class you need to do the following:
Write a 1 page response to the questions (listed below) that were handed out on Friday regarding the United State's decision to drop the Atomic Bomb on Japan during WWII.
1. Was it justifiable to drop the Atomic Bomb?
2. Should morality play into warfare decision making?
3. Were there alternatives that could have been used to achieve the result of surrender?
4. Could dropping the bomb have been avoided?
5. Did dropping the bomb make the world safer?
