1.  Describe the cost of WWII on the people of Europe.
		·        60 Million deaths ·        20 Million homeless ·        Holocaust – 12 Million killed (6M were Jews) ·        Destruction of infrastructure – buildings, roads, bridges, railroads
2.  Explain how the course of WWII increased tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union.
	·          US and Soviets were uneasy allies – didn’t like each other before war ·        Soviets want 2nd front – US invasion of Europe ·        Soviet deaths = 20 million / delay on 2nd front intentionally weakening Soviet Union ·        Takes US 2½ years before D-Day
3.  Analyze the impact of the Atomic Bomb on WWII.  Explain how this technology made the world a safer or more dangerous place.
	·        Hiroshima/Nagasaki Death tolls ·        Surrender of Japanese shortly after the 2nd bomb ·        Radiation poisoning ·        How it affects future war technology
