Chapter 24 Section 2 Questions: 

1. What were battlefield conditions like for American soldiers?
2. How was the use of booby traps an effective strategy for the Viet Cong?
3. Why do you think the United States felt it be necessary to use Agent Orange on the jungles of South Vietnam?
4. Look at the tunnel system on page 800.  How did this work to such a great advantage for the VC. How did the tunnels allowed the VC to hold out against superior firepower.
5. How was Napalm so destructive?
6. What is saturation bombing?  What kind of bombs did we use and how did they work?
7. What impact do you think the war had on Vietnamese culture?  Explain.
8. List 3 important facts about the Tet Offensive.
9. Briefly describe what happened at My Lai and why it became so publicly known.

Copy the map on Page 802.  Only draw the colored countries (Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam)  Include all the other information on the map. Map needs to be colored and the full size of paper.  Put in your table of contents as Vietnam Map
